History from Above

Using multispectral drones for digital heritage imaging

History from Above is a research initiative at the University of Rochester that explores the potential of combining multispectral drone photography and 3D modelling as a more affordable alternative to remote sensing detection for archaeological sites. We hope to increase the ability for cultural heritage professionals to access the results of multispectral imaging and protect sites that could otherwise be hidden in the cultural record.
